Location: Wichita, KS

Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-KS), released the following statement regarding a new report that Hillary and Bill Clinton used taxpayer money from the Former Presidents Act to fund activities and purchase equipment used by the couple and their Foundation.

"Former Secretary Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server has reached new levels of egregiousness. Today's report lays out the reality that there is evidently no limit to the corruption in Hillary Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State, and after. Now we learn that Secretary Clinton and her husband reportedly used taxpayer dollars to fund the set-up, operation, and maintenance of the couple's private email servers. This included paying for staff, hardware, and software. By taking advantage of an Act meant to prevent previous presidents from falling into hard times, former President Clinton and his wife further disrespected American taxpayers, the office of the Presidency, and the spirit of this law."

Pompeo serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Select Committee on Benghazi. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, an Army veteran, and ran two small businesses before joining Congress in 2011.
