Like most working parents, Kelly and Joe keep a close eye on their household budget and put money away for major expenses down the road. Kelly believes that the federal government should have to live within its means, just like we do here in New Hampshire.

Like most working parents, Kelly and Joe keep a close eye on their household budget and put money away for major expenses down the road. Kelly believes that the federal government should have to live within its means, just like we do here in New Hampshire.

That's why she helped pass the first balanced budget in 14 years and why she's cutting out-of-control spending, eliminating duplicative and wasteful programs, and pushing for a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Kelly also backs a simpler, fairer tax code that lowers taxes for families and small businesses. Our tax code isn't competitive, and reforming it will help incentivize companies to bring back trillions of dollars currently parked overseas and keep good jobs here at home.

Kelly is holding the line against tax hikes that would hurt New Hampshire families and harm our economy. She is standing up for New Hampshire's online retailers and leading the charge to stop a misguided internet sales tax. Kelly also protected roughly 3,500 New Hampshire jobs by coming together with her colleagues to stop the Medical Device Tax from going into effect.
