Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-46), senior member of the House Armed Services and Homeland Security Committees, today released the following statement in recognition of Veterans Day

"As we celebrate Veterans Day, we honor the 21 million men and women who have courageously served our country. We also honor those who continue to serve so that we may all maintain our freedom."

"There are almost 2 million veterans currently residing in California. These men and women deserve our full support when they return home. We must provide our veterans with the necessary resources to succeed outside of the military and aid in their transition to civilian life. "

"We cannot forget the many veterans that face severe challenges in their transition to civilian life. As these veterans served our country we must now serve them."

"As a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee and the wife of a veteran, I thank all of our veterans for their invaluable service to this nation."

"Join me in continuing the fight to address the needs of our veterans and the brave men and women who continue to serve. As the military vows to leave no soldier behind on the battlefield, we pledge to leave no veteran behind at home. This Veterans Day, we honor all who bravely served."
