Statement

Date: Jan. 23, 2017
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), today released a statement following President Trump's executive order to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

"I am pleased to see President Trump working to ensure that our country gets a fair shake in trade agreements," Inhofe said. "As President Trump evaluates the trade agreements negotiated under the Obama Administration, I encourage him to swiftly negotiate new deals with our allies around the globe. Maintaining productive trade relationships with our allies will ensure access to international markets for Oklahoma's farmers, ranchers and energy producers. Breaking down barriers to allow exports of more American goods will create jobs in Oklahoma and strengthen our domestic economy."
