Kuster Reaffirms Support for Peaceful Solution to North Korea Situation

Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) is today reaffirming her support for a peaceful solution to the escalating tension on the Korean peninsula.

"The escalating tension on the Korean peninsula is truly alarming and threatens our national security and the lives of millions of people," said Congresswoman Kuster. "Our immediate goal must be to pursue a peaceful resolution through our diplomatic channels, including working with our allies, to lower the very real threat of a nuclear incident. There is broad support for North Korea to curtail its nuclear program as evidenced by the Security Council's unanimous vote to increase sanctions in response to North Korea's recent missile tests. I urge the President to follow the advice and counsel of diplomatic and military leaders to peacefully resolve this crisis."
