Huizenga: West Michigan Deserves a Tax Cut

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) released the following statement in response to the introduction of H.R. 1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Under this legislation, a typical middle-income family of four, earning $59,000 (the median household income), will receive a $1,182 tax cut.

"Congress has a once in a generation opportunity to reform our nation's outdated tax code and provide middle class families across West Michigan with a tax cut," said Congressman Huizenga. "As we examine the details of this important legislation, we share a common goal: cut taxes, boost small business job creation, and increase take home pay for hardworking Americans. The legislative text released today is a great starting point and I look forward to studying and working to fine-tune this legislation."
