Congressman Mike Rogers made the following statement today after the House of Representatives passed H.R. 3922, the Championing Healthy Kids Act. This legislation provides a five-year extension of the state Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and helps fund other important health programs.
"I am pleased this fiscally-responsible legislation passed the House today with my support. CHIP provides children in lower-income families with health care coverage. This bill will help fund this critical program for our children across East Alabama and the country."
