Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) tonight released the following statement on the Senate's approval of the tax bill:
"This is a victory for Arkansan families and all working Americans. Now they'll be able to keep more of their hard-earned dollars, and in addition, our businesses will be able to create more jobs right here in America. I'm also very pleased the final bill includes my proposal to repeal the Obamacare individual-mandate tax. This is the most hated part of that terrible law, and I'm glad to see it go. All in all, this legislation is a major achievement. It will give working families the tax relief they deserve and help us build an economy that supports the American worker."
