Rep. Jenkins: Let's Expand Rural Broadband

Statement

U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) issued the following statement today after President Trump signed two executive orders to expand access to rural broadband:

"Access to reliable, fast internet is critical to West Virginia's economic diversification and attracting more industries to our great state. President Trump is again listening to the concerns of rural Americans, and his actions today will help improve internet access and create new jobs. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito has been a leader on this critical issue with her Capito Connect initiative, and I will continue to work with her and President Trump to make rural broadband expansion a reality," Rep. Jenkins said.

"President Trump is committed to improving rural communities, and I also thank him for his support for rural utility programs to ensure all Americans have access to reliable and modern water and power utilities."
