Statement by Congressman Brian Higgins on the President's Decision to Withdraw from Iran Nuclear Deal

"The agreement when signed represented a marked step toward stabilizing some of most salient risks posed by the extremist regime that controls Iran. It also reflected steadfast efforts of our allies and adversaries to quell this nuclear threat. No one said the agreement was perfect - it was a start - but all signals indicated the regime was complying.

"This President's unilateral withdrawal from this agreement will have the effect of de-stabilizing an already tenuous region and throwing the international community into diplomatic turmoil. It is unwise and will have unintended consequences."
