Statement by Congressman Dan Kildee on US Supreme Court's Decision in the Janus V. AFSCME Case

Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) released the following statement today after the U.S. Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling in Janus v. AFSCME Council 31:

"The Supreme Court's decision is an attack on hardworking families trying to earn a decent living in this country. The basic rights of workers, including the right to collectively bargain, are under attack by Republicans like never before. The men and women of labor helped to build the American middle class and it is a shame to see Republicans continue stacking the deck in favor of their wealthy donors and corporate special interests. All workers should have the ability to join together and fight for fair pay, safe working conditions and affordable health care."
