Issue Position

I have worked to ensure Tennessee's taxes remain as low as possible on both businesses and individuals, and I will continue to do so. Because I firmly believe that no one knows better how to spend your money better than yourself, I've never met a tax-cut I didn't like. I also believe that government should never become a burden on American entrepreneurs. As a state, we should work to ensure a level playing field and healthy environment for all businesses both big and small. However, corporate welfare with government picking winners and losers in the market must come to an end because it threatens our free-market system. With competition in the market and the allowance of true free-market principles, Tennessee consumers will benefit most.
