Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01) today released the following statement after the New Hampshire Superior Court issued a preliminary injunction on SB3:
"SB3 is a bad law that would make it harder for Granite Staters to exercise their fundamental right to vote. Governor Sununu should have vetoed this bill instead of signing it into law. We should be encouraging people to vote instead of creating roadblocks. This law undermines our state's reputation for holding free and fair elections, and it hurts our democracy. The court made the right decision."
