Issue Position: Smart Growth

As one of the fastest growing states in the nation, Utah needs to prepare for obvious future growth. However, I think the way to pay for infrastructure repair, maintenance and growth should be through current taxation revenues and anticipated revenue growth that should naturally come with population and business growth in our state and not through new taxes.
We also must constantly evaluate how to more efficiently run existing programs and better manage expenses, looking for opportunities to streamline our systems. We also must encourage and strengthen our private sector partnerships.
