More funds to protect wildlife

The Marianas would get the same funding as a state for wildlife and habitat protection under my bill approved by the House Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday. H.R. 1809 increases from $2.5 million to $8 million the amount of money annually received by the Marianas under the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act and the Dingell-Johnson Sport Fish Restoration Act. The funds can also be used to build docks and provide other recreational opportunities.
