O'halleran Blasts Efforts to Jeopardize Health Coverage for Arizona Families

Today, Congressman Tom O'Halleran (AZ-01) called on the White House to put an end to efforts to roll back health insurance protections for people with pre-existing conditions and other protections in the Affordable Care Act.

"There is no doubt that our health care system is broken, and Congress has an obligation to work together to pass bipartisan, comprehensive legislation that stabilizes the insurance markets and brings down costs for patients. The lawsuit in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals could be a disaster for more than 130 million people with pre-existing conditions, 15 million people covered by Medicaid, seniors saving on prescription drugs, and young adults on their parents' insurance plans.

"The idea that we can sit by and allow access to affordable, quality health care to be taken away from those with the most need is unconscionable. I am committed to finding commonsense solutions to address the problems of our health care system by working across the aisle."
