Statement by Senator Richard Burr Regarding the Nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court
"As the Senate now proceeds with the confirmation process, I am hopeful Judge Alito will receive a fair, dignified hearing followed by an up-or-down vote on the Senate floor. I will carefully review Judge Alito's background and qualifications for the Court and look forward to meeting with him personally."
