Issues: Trade

Today, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) released the following statement on House passage of H.R. 5430, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement Implementation Act:

"Today's passage of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement is a long overdue, bipartisan accomplishment. Here in the Tenth District, the much-needed improvements included in the USMCA will help to ensure that one of western North Carolina's most important industries--textile manufacturing--is more competitive in the global market.

"I applaud President Trump for his leadership in getting this trade deal done on behalf of the American people. The USMCA is a win for American workers and businesses and I am proud to support its passage in the House."
