The following may be attributed to Representative Steve Stivers (R-OH), regarding the Trump Administration's Executive Order on police reform:

"Systemic racism has plagued our nation since its founding, and unfortunately, no single announcement or policy is going to eradicate it. While the Administration's announcement today on police reform is a good first step, much more needs to be done. Action is needed from Congress and at the local level, not just regarding law enforcement, but on every issue from housing to economic opportunity. I look forward to working with the White House, my colleagues in the House, and local leaders throughout Ohio's 15th District to make our country a place where we have liberty and justice for all."
