Charles Booker Releases Policy Priorities for COVID-19 Relief

U.S. Senate candidate and Kentucky state Representative Charles Booker released today a memo outlining his policy priorities for a federal stimulus package to address the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The document is a statement of values at a time when the country's lawmakers are in dire need of moral clarity. In the letter, Rep. Booker clearly prioritizes free disease-related medical supplies, cash assistance, deferral of debt payments, and credit supports for the people, small businesses, and families most vulnerable to the pandemic and its accompanying economic fallout -- as opposed to unrestricted bailouts to wealthy industries.
