Barrasso: House Democrats are more Committed to Green New Deal than Dealing with Roads & Bridges

Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), slammed House Democrats for passing a partisan infrastructure bill.

"House Democrats are more committed to the Green New Deal than dealing with crumbling roads and bridges," said Barrasso. "Instead of working with House Republicans on an infrastructure bill, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats rammed through a laundry list of liberal priorities. The House Democrats' infrastructure bill is a dead end and has no chance of becoming law. It's a road to nowhere.

"In the Senate, both parties worked together to write bipartisan highway infrastructure legislation that would help every state and every tribe in America. Fixing our roads and bridges will create jobs, grow the economy, and help Americans at this difficult time. The House should follow the Senate's lead and get serious about infrastructure."
