Spano Pushes Forward with Banning "TikTok on Government Devices' on House Side

Today, U.S. Representative Ross Spano (R-FL) released the following statement following the Senate's unanimous passage of Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) and Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) bill to ban all federal employees from using the TikTok social media application on government devices:

"TikTok and other Chinese Communist party-controlled companies are spying on Americans. China has hostile intentions towards our nation, and I am proud to stand with President Trump to stop their rogue behavior."

Rep. Spano is an original cosponsor of H.R. 6896, the "No TikTok on Government Devices Act', a bill introduced on 05/15/2020 and which has been referred to the Committee on Oversight and Reform in addition to the Committee on House Administration. In addition to H.R. 6896, Spano introduced the "Great American Comeback' economic recovery plan which calls for combatting reliance on China.
