U.S. Representative Mark Walker (R-N.C.) cosponsored two House resolutions expressing support for our nation's law enforcement officers and the need to restore order across our nation.

"Chaos and destruction are raging across our nation in cities where the local government officials are actively working to demonize law enforcement officers," Walker said. "We will not allow North Carolina to suffer the same lawlessness and tragedy as Seattle, Portland and Chicago. Just as our law enforcement officers safeguard and protect our communities from these harmful actions, we must also do the same for them by continuing to support them and their efforts to restore order in America."

Introduced by U.S. Representative Ken Buck (R-Colo.), H.Res. 1071 expresses sincere appreciation to our law enforcement officers who bravely protect our communities. Specifically, this resolution highlights the tremendous sacrifice our police officers make every day to keep our nation safe. Additionally, it rejects the dangerous attempts to dismantle and defund law enforcement agencies.

In efforts to restore justice and order across our nation, U.S. Representative Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) introduced H.Res. 1083. This resolution strongly condemns the violence and destruction we've seen in major cities, including Portland and Seattle, and recognizes these actions as domestic terrorism. Furthermore, this resolution supports the protection of Federal property, law enforcement, and citizens' rights. Walker is an original co-sponsor of this resolution.
