Rep. Spano Opposes Government Funding Extension Bill

Press Release

Date: Sept. 22, 2020
Location: Washington, DC

Today, U.S. Representative Ross Spano's (FL-15), released the following statement after voting "No' on H.R. 8337, the "Continuing Appropriations Act, 2021 and Other Extension Act':

"To continue spending taxpayer's dollars without a defined budget or even a full year appropriation is incredibly irresponsible. Our children and grandchildren will pay the price for our lack of discipline. We cannot continue kicking the can down the road, crippling future generations," said Spano. "The House and Senate, along with the Administration, need to get back to regular order. This means proposing a budget, negotiating and passing it. Like all Americans and every small business, government must learn to live within its means and according to a defined spending plan."
