Kai will advocate for the successful passage of Native Hawaiian programs, funding streams, and rights. He strongly supports creating opportunities for all indigenous voices to be heard in Washington D.C. Kai will be a champion for the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act and the continuation of Native American Housing Assistance and Self Determination Act funding to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands. He also supports the U.S. ratification of the United Nations Declaration of Rights on Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).
