Mr. KEATING. Madam Speaker, opponents of this resolution cite the need for unity as a basis of their opposition to impeach the President. The key question, though, is what are we united around. Is it to support a President who summoned, assembled, and lit the flame of this attack--in the words of the Republican Minority Whip--or is it to unite around free and fair elections, a constitutional transfer of power, and our core democratic beliefs. Those members on the other side of the aisle joining us in supporting this resolution are true uniters. The way to unite--and ultimately protect--our country is to hold responsible the person who incited this insurrection.
