Menendez, Booker Announce $85M to Support NJ Public Housing Programs

U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker today announced $85,066,133 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support New Jersey public housing agencies preserve, repair, and modernize affordable homes across the state.

"Families across New Jersey deserve to live in safe, quality, reliable and affordable housing," said Sen. Menendez. "This federal funding will build up our communities, boost our economy and empower our families to fulfill their potential."

"Each and every New Jerseyan deserves a safe, affordable place to live," said Sen. Booker. "It is especially critical during the current public health crisis that our public housing programs have the resources they need to serve the New Jersey families that rely on them."
