WASHINGTON--Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, issued the following statement today after the U.S. House of Representatives voted to advance a bipartisan infrastructure bill and the Build Back Better Act:
"The U.S. House of Representatives took a critical vote today to advance both a bipartisan infrastructure bill and budget that supports working families. Working alongside President Biden, I am committed to getting both bills signed into law as soon as possible because, together, these bills meet the needs of the people I represent.

"We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to rebuild America's crumbling infrastructure and cut taxes and create jobs for the middle class, all while making sure that the biggest corporations pay their fair share. As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, I will continue working to ensure that this budget resolution puts more American-made electric vehicles on the road, removes every lead pipe across the country to ensure clean water and supports communities left behind by bad trade deals."
