Statement

Date: Sept. 11, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

FLINT--Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, issued the following statement today marking the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks:
"Today, on the 20th anniversary of September 11th, we honor the nearly 3,000 Americans who lost their lives on this tragic day. We remember the victims, their families and the first responders who were killed and injured by the terrorist attacks.

"So many Americans remember exactly where we were on September 11, 2001. In the two decades since, so much in our world has changed. However, the tragedy of the loss of the victims has not waned, nor has the impact of the courage displayed by 9/11 first responders.

"We keep their memory alive by never forgetting that terrible day."
