Higgins Commends $10B Investment for New LNG Facility in Cameron Parish

Statement

Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) commended Venture Global LNG's announcement to invest more than $10 billion in a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, CP2 LNG, in Cameron Parish.

According to Louisiana Economic Development (LED), the new project is expected to support an average of 2,300 construction jobs and will result in at least 200 direct jobs and 867 indirect jobs upon completion.

Congressman Higgins issued the following statement:

"Southwest Louisiana is the epicenter of American LNG. Venture Global's investment in the new CP2 facility is a significant win and brings jobs and economic prosperity to Southwest Louisiana. My office will continue to do everything we can at the federal level to advance policies that support American energy dominance and the production of clean and affordable energy here in the United States."
