Walorski: Protecting Hoosiers from Surprise Medical Bills

As the No Surprises Act takes effect, U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) released the following statement on her efforts to protect Hoosiers and Americans across the country from surprise medical bills.

"Too many families in Indiana and across the country have been hit by costly and unexpected medical bills in some of their most stressful times of need. Hardworking Americans who do everything right in both emergency and non-emergency situations shouldn't find a financially devastating medical bill in their mailbox," said Congresswoman Walorski. "The No Surprises Act takes American patients out of the middle of billing disputes between health care providers and insurers, protecting families from unexpected out-of-network costs. I am thrilled that our bipartisan legislation was signed into law by President Trump and is now delivering results for Hoosiers."
