Fortenberry on Massive Government Spending

Issues: Government Budget and Spending
Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (NE-01) made the following statement this evening on the House passage of the omnibus package:
"Another last minute, late night spending package. The top line numbers are too high and the bill came too late for anyone to properly review and debate all 2700 pages." Fortenberry said.
"These massive bills create huge dilemmas. Many important government functions should be funded; other things should be jettisoned. I made the decision to only support the security componenets of the bill to keep America Safe." Fortenberry added.
