Issues: Oil and Gas

U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) today joined H. Res. 1020, a Congressional resolution led by Representative Gary Palmer (R-AL) to condemn the Biden Administration's plans for seeking to source oil from Venezuela and Iran instead of supporting the domestic production of American energy.

Reports indicate the Biden Administration planned to remove sanctions on the oppressive Maduro regime and is currently negotiating with Iran in response to the crisis in Ukraine and the uncertainty of the oil market around the world.

"It's clear that the Biden Administration is beholden to the progressive left-wing of their party. Ask yourself a question: If this administration actually cared about American workers, why would they rather source oil from terrorists and socialists?" said Congressman Greg Steube. "It's preposterous that this administration is willing to prop up dangerous regimes around the world over our own energy industry. American workers showed us we could be energy independent under Trump. This administration's policies and executive orders are the only things standing in the way of that."
