Reed Addresses The President's Budget Proposal

Statement

Date: April 6, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

Today, in his weekly press call, Tom Reed addressed President Biden's budget proposal.

"The President's $5.8 trillion budget proposal is nothing more than a political document of partisan priorities designed to divide us when we truly need to be united. Now is not the time for partisan politics and political messaging; it is time for real leadership," said Reed. "This type of spending is unsustainable. We need to work together, Democrats and Republicans, to solve our fiscal problems and address our national debt. Enough is enough. The future of America's economic strength depends on it."
