Diaz-Balart Statement on Democrats' Tax and Spending Bill

Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25) issued the following statement regarding Washington Democrats' tax hike and spending spree bill.

"It has now become a trend for Washington Democrats to name a bill the absolute opposite of what they claim it accomplishes. According to a study by the University of Pennsylvania, the "Inflation Reduction Act of 2022" will actually worsen inflation over the next two years while increasing taxes for American businesses and families. In the midst of a recession and the highest inflation in 40 years, Democrats want Americans to pay more and continue to earn less to offset the effects of their disastrous policies.

"You would think by now that Democratic Leadership would have learned that reckless spending fuels inflation, and the ones who bear the brunt of the burden are hardworking Americans."
