MANCHESTER, NH -- Today, the re-election campaign of Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) launched its "People Over Party" coalition of Republicans, former Republicans, and independents endorsing his campaign because they know he is committed to putting people over party. Today's announcement includes former Republican State Senator Rick Russman, business owners Jim Jalbert, Donna Hosmer, and Jameson French, as well as former Reagan Administration official Claira Monier.
In announcing this first wave of endorsements, Republicans, former Republicans, and independents across the Granite State point to Chris's leadership for New Hampshire families and his bipartisan track record of putting people over politics in Washington.
"I am grateful to the Granite Staters of all political stripes who are putting their faith in me for another term and helping ensure we put people over party in Washington," said Congressman Chris Pappas. "I am honored to have the support of Republicans, former Republicans, and independents in this campaign, and I will continue to work across the aisle in Washington to provide solutions for New Hampshire families, veterans, and small businesses. Whenever I introduce a bill, I always look to do so with a partner across the aisle, and over half of my legislation is supported by Republican members of Congress. While some politicians just like to fight, I remain committed to bringing people together to deliver for the Granite Staters. Politics shouldn't get in the way of solutions, and I'm proud to have the support of Republicans, Democrats, and independents across the First District."
Chris has been named one of the most bipartisan members of Congress and has partnered with 74 Republicans on legislation he introduced in his second term in Congress, working across party lines to solve problems and provide solutions for New Hampshire families. He also has co-sponsored 77 bills led by Republicans. Chris has consistently stood up to his own party and put the needs of New Hampshire first.
"Chris knows that supporting small businesses here in New Hampshire is, in essence, supporting the livelihood of families throughout the State. Something he clearly has demonstrated during his tenure in Congress," said Jim Jalbert, owner of C&J Bus Lines. His leadership on Both the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and well as Veterans Affairs' has ensured that New Hampshire has a seat at the table when discussing important legislation. We must support representatives who get things done in Washington, and that's why Chris has my support for a third term in Congress."
