Mr. BERGMAN. Madam Speaker, as we come together to celebrate Veterans Day, it is my great honor to recognize the veterans, their families, and staff of the Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti.

Michigan Veteran Homes have served our Nation's heroes for 135 years. Offering services and nursing to our veterans across the Upper Peninsula, Michigan Veteran Homes' D.J. Jacobetti location was first established in 1981. Named after D.J. Jacobetti, Michigan's longest- serving state legislator in our state's history, this location combines state-of-the-art care and a compassionate staff to form a welcoming and proactive system of support for our local veterans. The staff and support system have rightfully earned high praise for their continued effort to care for our Nation's greatest asset.

The veterans of Jacobetti deserve our utmost respect and gratitude. The occasion of Veterans Day gives us the perfect opportunity to come together in celebration and thanks for those who have sacrificed to ensure our safety and freedom is protected at all costs. Their health, safety, and well-being must continue to be among our highest priorities--no one is more worthy of recognition and support than those who have served in our Nation's military.

Madam Speaker, I am honored to recognize the veterans, their families, and staff of Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti for their service to our country and the sacrifices they have made. They have all played an important part in safeguarding our Nation's security and the safety of millions of American citizens. On behalf of Michigan's First District, I wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
