Bipartisan E&C Leaders Commend Passage of FCC Auction Authority Bill

Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), Chair Cathy Rodgers (R-WA), Communications and Technology Subcommittee Ranking Member Doris Matsui (D-CA), and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chair Bob Latta (R-OH) released the following statement commending House passage of H.R. 1108, which extends the Federal Communication Commission's (FCC) auction authority deadline to May 19, 2023:

"Spectrum policy is national security policy. Extending FCC's spectrum auction authority is critical for strengthening American leadership in innovation and our global competitive edge against China, making it all the more important that we get the job done. We applaud the passage of H.R. 1108, which will help ensure we have the time necessary to work with our Senate colleagues to adopt a strong spectrum policy for America to win the future of wireless technology."
