"This budget represents more of the same misguided priorities. It cuts Medicare and Medicaid significantly, and once again the president is pursuing privatizing Social Security, a course the American people have soundly rejected."

"For the first time, the president has included the real costs of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in his yearly budget. These huge sums demand diligent scrutiny and oversight on the part of Congress. He will not be given a blank check."
