Ileana Ros-Lehtinen took $812,000 from financial sector - remains silent on Bush Bailout plan

ILEANA ROS-LEHTINEN TOOK $812,000 FROM FINANCIAL SECTOR - REMAINS SILENT ON BUSH BAILOUT PLAN

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has received $812,524 from the financial services industry during 19 years in Congress. Ros-Lehtinen votes consistently with President Bush to reward Wall Street and remove accountability. But now, she is silent on the subject of the $700 billion Bush Bailout.

Annette Taddeo made her position clear. "I oppose the Bush administration's proposal", said Taddeo, "until it is strengthened to protect homeowners and until it protects the American taxpayer from sweetheart deals, cronyism, and waste."

"As a small-businesswoman and Past-Chair of the Coalition of Miami-Dade County Chambers of Commerce, I know what our economy needs to right itself," Taddeo added. "Congress should send President Bush a bill that includes protections for homeowners, transaction standards, independent oversight, and restrictions on excessive CEO-pay for the affected companies."
Ros-Lehtinen is in the back pocket of the finance industry; she has taken more than $800,000 in campaign funds. She has remained silent on the subject of the Bush Bailout.
