Revitalizing Michigan's Economy/Restoring Jobs and Prosperity

Solution: Galvanize economic stimulation by restoring funding for higher education and the development of a top-notch workforce; offer corporations, small businesses and emerging entrepreneurs irresistible opportunities for business development.

Michigan has been the epicenter of the current economic crisis -- and Michigan's citizens have suffered exponentially more than those in any other state. Diversified job creation must be our top priority. As State Senator, I will help create and support innovative legislation to attract new and high-paying jobs, retain talented workers and provide lucrative opportunities for corporations, entrepreneurs and small-business owners. Institutions of higher education are the feeders for quality job creation and business incubators foster growth and prosperity. Michigan must recognize and support these essential drivers of economic renewal.
