John is a devout Christian, and it is against his personal convictions to engage in the consumption of alcoholic beverages. However, he believes that alcohol consumption is a personal issue. There are hundreds of people in Tuscaloosa who would like to vote on the issue of alcohol sales for a limited amount of time on Sundays. During their 2010 session, the Alabama Legislature approved the peoples right to vote on this issue in the first quarter of 2011.
