Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) issued the following statement about a series of important bills that House Republicans are bringing to the House floor this week:

"I am proud to stand with my colleagues in the House Republican Conference as we vote this week on measures to cripple ObamaCare, cut off taxpayer funding of abortion and expand American energy production. These bills will stop the expansion of the liberal social agenda and reverse the trend of deficit spending. The energy legislation that House Republicans are putting forth will spur job creation, generate new revenue and boost the development of American oil.

"Once my colleagues and I pass these commonsense measures, it will be up to Senator Reid and President Obama to answer the will of the American people and do the same. Barring their support we must make sure that the upcoming appropriations' process does not yield a single dime to ObamaCare or to abortion funding."
