Statement on Death of Osama bin Laden

Statement

Date: May 2, 2011
Location: Frog Jump, TN

Following the news that Osama Bin Laden has been killed, Congressman Stephen Fincher (R-TN) issued the following statement:

"Osama Bin Laden's death provides closure to all Americans who were affected by the tragic events on September 11, 2001. For the families who lost those near and dear to them after the evil attacks, they can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that justice has been done.

"I commend all the brave men and women in uniform who selflessly serve overseas and sacrifice so much to keep America safe and secure. We are a grateful nation to these service members for their heroic actions that have brought justice to all Americans. The news of Bin Laden's death marks a great victory for our nation in our War on Terror. This does not mark the end of our efforts -- but gives Americans reason to celebrate."
