Issue Position

Senator Hagan is deeply committed to keeping our promises to our veterans. She will continue working to ensure that our veterans receive the care and support they deserve. She supports fully funding the Veterans Administration, cutting red-tape to help make claims servicing easier and more streamlined, and improving the quality of life for veterans by increasing compensation and guaranteeing world-class heath care in state-of-the-art medical facilities. Legislation she cosponsored ensures partisan budget battles will never again interfere with funding for veterans' health care. In addition, she backed a law to give necessary support to family caregivers of veterans. Along with her North Carolina colleague Senator Richard Burr, Senator Hagan is fighting to help bring closure to the families who were affected by water contamination at Camp Lejeune.

"Faces of the Fallen" is a web page dedicated to honoring the lives of servicemembers from North Carolina who have died in combat operations since 2001. The bravery and sacrifice of all of North Carolina's fallen heroes, throughout our state's great history, will never be forgotten.
