Today, Congresswoman Janice Hahn cast her vote in support of Senator Harry Reid's compromise plan to protect Pell Grants, Social Security, Medicare and end the debt limit crisis.
"This is not a perfect bill," said Congresswoman Hahn. "I would have preferred a more balanced package that asks millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share. I think right now we need to be investing in the future and creating jobs, not taking a hatchet to the budget. But I voted for the Reid plan because it is a long-term solution to this crisis that protects Social Security and Medicare and lets the United States pay its bills."
