Rep. Becerra Salutes Our Veterans

Statement

Representative Xavier Becerra (CA-31), Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, released the following statement in honor of Veterans Day:

"On Veterans Day, America comes together to salute our veterans and their families to thank them for their sacrifices in service and their devotion to protecting our freedom.

We owe it to our veterans to act on our gratitude by keeping the door of opportunity open to them. We can ensure that our veterans, including the brave men and women returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan, have the best health care our country can offer, that they can pursue a college education, and that they have the means available to buy a home for their family. But the best way to honor our veterans is to reignite our economy and create millions of good paying jobs.

So on this Veterans Day, I say thank you to all of the brave men and women who have worn the uniform, those who continue to defend our democracy, and the families who support them. I pledge to keep fighting for you at home."
