Issue Position

Protect a woman's right to choose. I strongly support a woman's right to choose and have a long record of advocacy for pro-choice causes, from volunteering for Planned Parenthood while in college to authoring Supreme Court briefs for medical providers. That is why I have already earned the support of both EMILY's List and The Women's Campaign Forum.

Stop the Republican assault on Planned Parenthood. We must stop the assault by Congressional Republicans against Planned Parenthood and stand up for women's reproductive health and freedoms. This is particularly important with so many women relying on Planned Parenthood doctors for their primary care.

Enforce Equal Pay for Equal Work. We must ensure and enforce equal pay for equal work, including the Lilly Ledbetter Act.

Domestic violence legislation. Just as I worked hard in Connecticut, I will work hard in Washington to ensure that we are protecting women from domestic violence, through the use of new technologies (such as GPS ankle bracelets) and by providing the necessary resources to law enforcement.
