Anderson Named a "Guardian of Seniors Rights' By National Seniors Group

The 60 Plus Association, the nation's largest conservative seniors organization with over 7.2 million senior supporters, awarded Congressional candidate and presumptive Republican nominee (GA-12) Lee Anderson with the "Guardian of Seniors Rights" award as part of their national Healthcare Freedom Bus tour.

"It's an honor to receive the "Guardian of Seniors Rights' award from the 60 Plus Association for my efforts to safeguard seniors here in Georgia," said Anderson on Saturday. "In Congress, I will fight tooth and nail to protect Medicare for our current seniors and preserve the program for generations to come."

The award is presented to candidates and elected officials based on their "senior friendly' voting record or statements.

"Democrats in Congress like John Barrow sat on their hands while $700 billion was raided from Medicare to fund Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul," said Anderson. "We need to repeal ObamaCare, protect Medicare, and keep the promises that we've made to our seniors. Not only is this good, common sense policy, but it's the right thing to do.

"Send me to Washington and I'll be a consistent voice for seniors in Congress. No more excuses, no more rhetoric, no more empty campaign promises -- just common sense leadership you can trust."

The 60 Plus Association is a 20-year-old nonpartisan organization working for death tax repeal, saving Social Security and Medicare, affordable prescription drugs, lowering energy costs and other issues featuring a less government, less taxes approach as well as a strict adherence to the Constitution.
