U.S. Representative Tom Marino (R-PA) released the following statement on the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision:

"I consider it one of my most important responsibilities in Congress to support and advocate for policies that provide the utmost protection for the lives of the unborn. Tragically, in the forty years since Roe v. Wade became law, an estimated 55.7 million unborn lives have been lost. We will never know the potential of those lives that were ended prematurely -- could one have cured cancer or brought about world peace? As the father of two adopted children, this issue is very personal to me and every day that I spend with my children reminds me that all lives are precious. I will continue my support for the sanctity and dignity of every human life, whether born or yet to be born."
